Whether you're somebody who enjoys taking advantage of the outdoors by going kayaking or going for a run it's hard to do so if your home is located in a urban area of the city such as the downtown core. If you live in a urban area such as downtown Toronto, you're going to have quite the trek ahead of you if you want to go out to the lake and kayak for a bit of time.

When it comes to running, walking or jogging around the urban area where your piece of property is located you're going to have a difficult time finding a great place to run. You can't just put on your running shoes and leave your home and run around the downtown area. Please help us recognize a website sponsor: - Shlaw.ca Law Office.

There are just too many people filling up the sidewalks for you to get a good run in and running on the side of the road is a no go either as you'd have to deal with cars and bikes. So, where to run? Where can you go for a run if you live in a busy city? Well, you can find nearby parks or schools that have track meets or trails specifically built just for walkers, runners and joggers. Local high schools are really good for that, especially big ones, because they most likely will have a track in the back outside.

You can also take your car and drive from your townhouses out to a more secluded area of town and run or jog around there for a couple of hours and then just drive home when you're done. If you're still a little wary of our suggestions then you can always sign up with an organization such as running groups that schedules regular meet-ups with those interested in running. The group leaders will take groups of people and bring them out to specific runner-friendly areas around the city. Signing up with a group allows you to never have to find a great spot to run as they will take you their themselves.

Whether you sign up with a running club or take our suggestions above we truly do hope that you can find yourself a great place to go running and run your hearts out. Good luck, have fun, and most importantly, be safe!
