Do you ever find yourself driving around your neighborhood in your car and you're passing a lot of runners and start to think to yourself you'd like to try that one day? It's a pretty natural reaction. A lot of people who spot runners think to themselves that they wish they could do that. Or they go in the complete opposite direction and have absolutely no interest in taking up running or jogging and will continue to drive to and from point A and B.

If you're in the first group then you should know that it's never too late to learn how to run. Learning to run, or more importantly, learning to live a lifestyle that incorporates routine running, can happen to anyone, of any age, at any time. You just have to have a yearning to run. That's pretty much it really. Hit up some local fitness clubs to see if they have any running clubs you can sign up for. If not, just ask around, and you're sure to find some sort of running organization in town. There's usually at least one to be found in every city.

Jogging might seem easy to you and you might think that all you need is a pair of running shoes and you're good to go. It's not that easy. Especially if your goal is to run a certain distance or achieve a certain running milestone, like competing in and finishing a marathon. Someone who's never ran or jogged before and wants to sign up for a marathon needs to put the proper training in first.

You can't just go out and start running. Hire a running fitness instructor who will teach you how to get in shape for a marathon. They will put you on a running schedule that will eventually lead you to being able to run a full marathon. If you listen to the advice they give you then you might just find yourself becoming a runner for life.

Remember, it's never to late to take up running, and you're never too old to get yourself running around your neighborhood. Whether you want to run for fun or want to compete in a marathon, you can do it. Good luck!
